My goal was to try and blog daily. I have failed this week. So sit back,
grab a coffee or some popcorn and read away. This week has been
kind of nutty! On last Sunday we headed over to my inlaws for our
normal Sunday afternoon dinner. We usually go a bit early so we have
time to "hang out" or let Zada torment the cats, the fish, Ed and Liz.
Last Sunday we brought alone Zada's toboggan; we also tried on some
old snow skis they have laying around. I got mine on no probs. James
was attempting to put his on and *SMACK* right in the eye went the
ski pole. After finally getting them on we managed to go around the field
by their house. WELL... we got half way around and James was in serious
eye pain. So back we went... I continued for a little while longer. I met up with
Ed and Zada, they were tobogganing.
When we got back to the house I wanted to assess the damage. James was in pain.
We ate a great dinner (James laid in the other room in aggony). Home we went.
The following morning James still couldn't open his eye and it was HUGE, RED AND
GROSS. So he went to the Doctor. After an all day adventure, he could finally open
his eye. Diagnosis: SCRATCHED LENS. The doctor put in a contact and gave him
3 different eye drops. Needless to say he was home the whole week.
Final Repot: He's doing much better.
I was glad he was home this week. The weather has been bitter cold. When I say cold
I'm talking -23F.. that's right my friends down "south"... BITTER COLD. Friday didn't
seem so bad until I was outside for less than 6 mins and my cheeks HURT.
Today Zada and I had a mission. Our mission was to find ice skates for her.
Mission accomplished. We went to Zellers (thats like a Target) and they
were on sale! YAY! She got these cute little Barbie skates that are adjustable
up to a size 13. That will hopefully last her through next year also. UNLESS
she has this major growth spurt. If it's not obnoxiously cold out tomorrow
I'd like to try the canal (it has finally froze and they have cleared a small portion
of it). I'm not so worried about Zada being cold. I'm worried about me being cold!
HHAHA (She has the winter gear thanks to our cousin inlaw Laurel).
So not a load of excitment but that was our week. Hopefully we'll have more
to tell next week! Well minus the catastrophies!
