Finally. I have been trying to blog for days; you know how life goes.
It seemed like everytime I sat down something came up - I tried once
today but then had to stop so I could get some immigration paper work
together. Though that was important so is keeping my friends and family
updated on my exciting life!
What paperwork you ask? Renewal of my visitor visa, its something
we have to do every six months until my immigration has been finalized.
You're allowed to stay here for six months with no papers or without paying
after that you OWE! Nothing is easy or free. This is like James' dowery to
keep me. I always ask him afterward if he still loves me since I'm costing
him a couple arms and legs. (James is now armless and almost legless).
He of course says "yes".
Backtrack - Valentines Night was pretty fun! We had a really nice dinner and
afterward we went with some friends to view the ice sculptures. At night they
put colourful (colorful) lights behind them. Though it was fantastic it was freaking
cold. So cold it almost hurt! When we came home I spent more time looking at
the photos than we did acutally seeing them in person. We also walked on
the canal for about 5 mins - 20 mins spent in a heated hut! hahah Oh yeah -
the most important part - James brought home a dozen red roses and they are
and were simply beautiful!
The weekend - Over the weekend Zada spent some time with her school
friend at HER house. Its so nice to have a little break on the weekend so James
and I can just be a couple. Zada I thinks enjoys it - she won't really tell me
any details so I can only assume she's having fun. *FLASH FORWARD*
That's how it's going to be when she's 15. FuN!
On Sunday _I_ needed to get some fresh air so we walked to the ice rink
by our house. It had snowed a couple inches sat night so the rinks were all
snow covered. There was a group of guys shoveling off the main rink to play
hockey. SO we went to the OTHER rink to do our figure skating. To stay
warm I plowed the whole dang rink myself. Thankfully when I had finished
Zada wanted to go home. I was frozen or almost frozen. It was so nice to get
some well needed fresh air. Then in the afternoon James and I went
for a little ski trip. My wonderful inlaws came to babysit for a couple hours.
There is a nice trail by our house that is closed off to dogwalkers so you
mostly have skiers. (THANK GOODNESS). No offence to dog walkers BTW!!
With all the fresh air on Sunday I was definitly tired!
That pretty much brings us to present...
Tonight we were all playing a word game with Zada. The rules are
pretty easy - pick a letter and think of word that starts with that
letter. Zada's really good at it. James chose the letter I Zada sat
there for a while and James was rattling off all these huge I-words.
Finally Zada said "Can we find a new letter, this is too COMP-ILL-LATED."
HAHAHAH
Enjoy the photos below!
